COMPARISON! PANASONIC LUMIX G 20MM F/1.7 VS LEICA 25MM F/1.4 LENS MICRO FOUR THIRDS - ALBERT ART VIDEO + PHOTOGRAPHY | ALBERTART.NET

COMPARISON

20mm Lumix vs 25mm Leica

Panasonic Lumix 20mm vs Leica DG 25mm Comparison. Two compact lenses for Micro Four Thirds. Both lenses have wide apertures for letting in light and getting a shallow depth of field. One is a pancake lens and around $300USD, the other is around $700USD.

Different focal lengths and different prices but which lens is the best all-around street, food, and travel lens?

Panasonic Lumix 20mm
Nice low price, nice bokeh, and very compact pancake but slow focusing speed. However, this lens is the right wide range for street photography and wide city scenes. Does well with close-ups on food. The compact size of the lens makes it perfect for tossing in the camera bag without worry about expensive glass.

Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25mm f/1.4
Sharp, VERY nice bokeh but a little long for street photography, and cityscapes. However, this lens is great for people, portraits, and food.

I own both these lenses. Both lenses are good for travel but if I were to choose one to take on a trip it would be the 20mm.
